Student Elite was founded in 2004 to develop and deliver programs, projects and services for the education sector.
Over the past twelve years, the breadth and diversity of Student Elite’s work has included guardianship and welfare services for international students and their families, consulting and delivery of international projects for the higher education sector, outbound and inbound programs for primary and secondary schools and public speaking engagement.
Over the past decade we have worked on diverse projects within the Asian Region, Europe and the Americas. We have engaged with offshore educational agents, highly regarded Universities, multinationals, SMEs, not for profits, community groups and government agencies both here and abroad.
Our staff have a personal and professional approach with strong local knowledge and networks and are vastly experienced in dealing with the international education sector. We have an awareness of the different cultures and recognise the importance of a quality educational experience.

guardianship services
Student Elite is committed to supporting and ensuring international students have a memorable, safe and quality educational experience whilst in Australia.
Our focus aligns with the Australian Government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and welfare of all international students. Further it places additional emphasis on young people who study and live in Australia without their parents or relatives.
If an international student is under 18 years old and doesn’t have their parents or a direct relative in Australia with them, the Australian Government grants the school responsibility to take this important welfare role on.
In many cases, the student’s school will nominate a professional guardian to take on this role. There are strict criteria to be chosen as a guardian including passing the Australian Government’s criminal background check and having a current ‘Working with Children Certificate’. Once appointed each school requires guardians to be actively committed to school life and support the student with their participation in curricular and co- curricular activities.
For over 11 years Student Elite has acted as a professional guardian for many international students under 18 years old studying at secondary schools in Melbourne including:

- The University of Melbourne

Student Elite offers a service that is personal, caring and responsive. Our staff are experienced with dealing with young students and have a strong local knowledge and networks. We also work very closely with international agents in many countries to support the students and their families; not only during the application process but throughout the duration of their studies in Australia. Further as our staff have studied, lived and/or worked abroad in countries including Japan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka and Indonesia hence they have an acute awareness of the Asian region’s diverse cultures.
Further for over 16 years our staff have worked for leading universities including the University of Melbourne so have an understanding of the transition of students from secondary school to universities. Accordingly they can offer invaluable support and mentoring for their students.
Some of the roles and responsibilities Student Elite offers as guardian include:
- Assistance with setting up in Australia (bank accounts, mobile phones)
- Accommodation assessments and vacation homestay arrangements
- Parent Student Teacher conference meetings
- Regular liaison with the school
- Regular contact with the student
We can also arrange transfers to and from the airport during school holidays and additional hotel and accommodation support for visiting relatives. These additional services attract a reasonable fee.

industry programs
For the past decade, Student Elite has worked with the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Business and Economics to conceptualise and deliver several of its global industry programs.
These programs have been delivered in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Seoul, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Mumbai, San Francisco, Santiago and Berlin. Through extensive networks and face to face contact Student Elite has been responsible for securing all the host organisations in these destinations; organisations such as KPMG, PWC, Ernst and Young, HSBC, Standard Chartered, NAB, ANZ, Walt Disney, Fairmont Hotels, BHP, Rio Tinto, DDB Advertising, Mondelez, Siemens, Bayer, BASF, IBM and HP.
As part of these programs, Student Elite has also arranged appropriate accommodation and on ground activities for the participants.
